is it really work?

Today, I spent a lot of time working on my laptop, mainly doing computer research on the website, marketing, and similar tasks. These are the tedious things I wish I didn’t have to do, but the harsh reality is that they’re necessary to gain financial security from my passions, my writing, and this website. It’s an unfortunate truth that we need to utilize the tools we have, which happen to be social media. I’m not against social media, but it’s disheartening sometimes that in order to get my writing seen or start a brand, I need to create this type of content. I don’t know the metrics, but it seems nearly impossible to gain familiarity or form a brand without utilizing these tools. The world is too big for word-of-mouth alone, and the internet is just too saturated for discovery like in the past. Every day, I learn something new because this whole process is a huge learning curve for me—marketing, email campaigns, starting a brand, getting my writing out there. To be honest, I’m not very good at it, but that’s okay. Little by little, I’ll develop the knowledge and understanding of how to build this properly while still maintaining a sense of authenticity that many on the internet seem to have lost.
