Shoulder update.

A minor update in my world regarding health and the condition that my poor body is in. I woke up crack of dawn to a cold van, absolutely nothing warm about the recent mornings. I had a very long overdue doctor’s appointment in San Marcos sponsored by the state of California. I've had the great opportunity to become a victim of the poor healthcare system we have implemented in the United States. It’s slow and disorganized, to say the least, but the layers that an individual has to go through to become an insured individual are one too many. As great as a country this is few things need crucial redevelopment. I have only so much to say because I'm unable to offer a real solution rather than only complain about how shitty the problems are. Which is why I will not complain any further. The doctor's appointment went exactly the way I wanted it to, a quick conversation about the condition of my shoulder and the 3 cortisone shots that have been given to me over 3 years. Temporary solutions to a very likely permanent problem. I was able to get a referral to an orthopedic as well as an MRI which tends always to be the most difficult thing to get in situations like this. It’s progress though that’s all I needed to hear, hopefully in the next few months I can start the road to recovery and a pain-free shoulder. Of course the biggest loss here is the fact that I haven’t climbed in over three months and I probably won’t be climbing for another few months. I suppose all things have a way of working itself out.
