California 178
A new climbing gym has opened in San Diego named Asylum, it's located in Sherman Heights near Barrio Logan on 19th street. It's the first of its kind here in San Diego, being that it's an outside bouldering gym. I think it's pretty rad how the sport is exploding and how things like this are going to become much more common in large metropolitan cities with a growing population of young working adults. I'm planning on checking it out this weekend and giving a solid, and honest review of it.
Aside from that, things in general are easy going, though the feeling of questioning things and questioning my life's direction hasn't really gone away, it's been mitigated by the fact that I can see the brighter side in my life at the present moment. One thing that I can think of that's kind of irritating the f*** out of me is the job that I currently work at only scheduled me for one day out of the week. I wanted to make a little extra cash it before I left to Moab in August, so we're going to see how some things can change in the next few weeks. On the upside is that I get a lot of free time to focus on myself focus on my recovery of my knee before I start work in August and write a bit more than I was before. There's a long week ahead, but I'm not complaining. Friday is my friend's declan's birthday, I haven't seen him in over 3 years, so it's the first time in quite a bit that every single one of my friends is going to be in the same vicinity since we were barely legal to drink. The plan I guess is to go to the beach and play volleyball and enjoy ourselves in this beautiful place because what a shame if we don't when there is nothing stopping us from appreciating the beauty and peacefulness a southern California weekend will bring us.
