Are our lives really that hard?

In life, situations often reveal themselves contrary to our expectations, presenting challenges that seem impossible to conquer. These are the moments when our ability to overcome and endure becomes invaluable.

Enduring discomfort is not just about physical pain or hardships; it’s about embracing these challenges as catalysts for growth and development. As cliché as it might sound, there’s a saying that diamonds are made under pressure—though I didn’t bother to look it up. Nonetheless, it sounds accurate and makes sense. The importance of persevering through hard times in life is crucial for learning about ourselves and the world around us. It demonstrates our capabilities and gives us the ability to adapt not only to events in our own lives but also to those in the lives of people around us. Endurance is an essential component of the human spirit, and at times, I can’t help but think that many of the hardships traditionally encountered in life are being paradoxically eradicated in today’s world. While it all might seem well, in my opinion, this isn’t necessarily the case. Sometimes, I believe things have become too easy for us.

I won’t say it outright, but there have been times in my life that were deliberately difficult. Not because that’s just how things were, but because I made them that way, knowing that I needed to struggle. I needed to endure something that was missing in much of my life and, arguably, in the lives of many people nowadays. I knew that being able to conquer and navigate life’s difficulties, whether they were forced upon me or self-imposed, was something that would build mental fortitude and strength. It would enable me to push through even harder times and to have empathy for people when it seems no one else does.

In essence, creating challenging situations in my life was not about seeking hardship for its own sake but about recognizing the value of struggle. It’s about understanding that enduring and overcoming difficulties can lead to significant personal growth and a deeper connection with others.

In life’s roads, we find our paths. we see the pain we see the comfort.

Do we choose these paths or lie in fates hand?
