Catching up pt.2

Continuing from where I left off, our journey together didn’t just consist of phone calls and a friendship similar to a roller coaster; it also encompassed adventures that spanned the beautiful landscapes of Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Washington. These camping trips with Adrianna were more than just escapes from the city; they were profound chapters of growth and discovery, particularly in my appreciation for the outdoors. She would meticulously plan her days off to coincide with camping trips, while I, returning from my eight days of conservation work in Washington, would spend my six days off exploring whatever piece of wilderness we would land on.This was significant to me; I always loved the outdoors but she truly underscored the importance of diving into to these rural landscapes to enjoy the environment and solitude.

Adrianna always took the lead in cooking, often preparing simple yet comforting meals like instant rice and tikka masala. While these meals weren’t lavish, I treasured them immensely. Typically, we would use her car for our trips, and at the time, I didn’t fully recognize the effort she invested in packing the car and organizing all the camping gear. Often, I was simply there, enjoying the moments and her company. As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to deeply appreciate her and anyone who has provided me with opportunities for growth and memories I can look back on with joy.
