Nevada 202

I’ve been in Las Vegas for about six days. The climbing has been wonderful just like the weather, I couldn’t have asked for it any better. My daily routine has been situated.

  1. Wake up at 7-7:30 am

  2. Starbucks to brush my teeth I also grab a coffee and a cup of hot water to make my own oatmeal in my mug

  3. Eat and use my laptop.

  4. Leave Starbucks.

  5. Meet with Jack to climb usually around 9:30-10 am

  6. Climb at red rock canyon until 3:30-4 pm.

  7. Drive to Refuge climbing gym to stretch and shower.

  8. Make food.

  9. Get ready for bed.

It’s been that way for the past week and it will probably change as time goes on with the addition of a job usually. I’ve been traveling and living out of my car for almost three years now. Every time I go somewhere new or slightly familiar it gets easier to get myself settled in. I think the most important part is figuring out a routine for yourself in which you can fit in whatever you do in my case climb then you need to fit in work to make money because god knows that is important. There are also a lot of other small details that we might take advantage of in everyday life such as laundry, showering, and restrooms. All that becomes a task. How do I do it? Where do I do it at? How can I get it done cost-effectively and timely?

Living out of your car and traveling from place to place isn’t for everyone but the ones that do know how rewarding and difficult it can be. I see the end of this type of life coming to an end for me eventually. The road ahead doesn’t look easy but whatever is easy probably isn’t worth doing anyways.
