I’m writing at Starbucks one I haven’t been to yet. So far this is my favorite one the parking is well organized the shop has great natural lighting and the employees are friendly. It’s the little things that can make the day just a bit better.

No matter how many times I have woken up in my car on a cold morning, I hate it every time. It’s when you’re the most comfortable and cozy in those silk sheets or in my case a sleeping bag that’s when it counts the most to get up. It builds character, it’s really easy to be warm and cozy but it’s hard to get out of that. That one hard thing can set your whole day up.

For Mondays and Tuesdays, I go into the gym at 7:00 am for route setting. Getting a paycheck to be creative and climb I have no complaints. I suppose all the training I’ve done and consistent climbing over the years has allowed me to get a job that involves my body and utilizing the skills I’ve acquired. I never thought when I got a pair of rental shoes at the climbing gym a few years ago in san Diego Id get all consumed. An activity, sport, hobby, lifestyle, or profession has completely taken over my life but I’m grateful for the places it’s taken me and will take me, the people I’ve met, and the feeling of raw strength. It’s been awesome and it’s still awesome. I hope to climb for my entire life and have the most fun I can with it. In the near future, I’d like to take myself to the coast that way I can be in the water and hone in on the part of my life that I grew up so close to. To teach my children these beautiful past times and amazing ways to get close to nature. Not only in the mountains but in the ocean as well.

When the ocean meets the mountains.
