Another storm incoming…

It’s been known that a second storm is headed this way to California, expected to hit Southern California particularly hard. I’ve never been too stressed about the weather, even when living in states with severe snow conditions. However, this situation makes me nervous because, as I mentioned in my first post about the storm, San Diego and the entire county are not designed to handle large amounts of water in a short period of time, which results in significant flooding and havoc. Especially driving my large van in nasty conditions is quite scary, not only for myself but for other drivers on the road. I’m sure those who drive large vehicles can understand where I’m coming from. Then, seeing videos of cars floating down highways with water up to their doors makes me paranoid. What if that happens to my van, and water gets inside, ruining everything I’ve built and own? I live in my van; it’s my home.

I’m not too sure what’s going to happen. I’m staying hopeful that it will just be a storm that will pass and that the weather stations and reporters have perhaps exaggerated the severity. But all I can do is hope because, on the other hand, they could be right, and 4-5 inches of rain could come down anytime this week. So, it’s best to put the tarp back onto my van, hunker down, and prepare for the worst.
