10 Hours to CA

I sure wasn’t looking forward to the 10 hour drive ahead of me, especially with a puppy. She wasn’t the happiest camper sitting in the passenger. It was hot noisy and lots of windy roads enough to make a baby stomach upset. Guna is a real trooper though a real tough badass pup. She handled the drive well, and she’s been handling the whole transition even better. I couldn’t imagine how it must feel to go from playing with your brothers and sisters, coming in and out of a school bus, and never wearing a leash to living in a van with a 26-year-old climber who’s heading to Yosemite for another climbing season with a bunch of other dirtbags. She’s going to learn to love it. I mean, how can’t she?

Initially, the drive was 10 hours, but it took an extra hour or two with all the bathroom and water stops for Guna (and myself). I can only she loves this place as much as I do.
