Regular Saturday

I had a pretty good Saturday. After work, I rushed straight to the gym to meet Trevor, playing it risky by not stopping for gas. I was worried my van might just stop in the middle of the road, which would have been far from ideal. I have a lot of love for all my friends; each one plays a different role in my life. Whether or not I get to see them as often as I’d like is beside the point. Unfortunately for my buddy Trevor, we manage to get together quite often. As we all get older, not all your friends will share the same hobbies, interests, passions, and whatnot. You’ll be lucky if you find one who does. Doing the things you love, things that make you happy, with someone whose company you enjoy—whether it’s a friend, a lover, or family—creates a really great feeling. Going for a run with a buddy is an awesome experience; going to the climbing gym with a friend feels so good. Having a great meal after an insane workout—there’s nothing better than that.

I also can’t forget the fact that Trevor pinched a nerve or pulled something in his lower back today at the climbing gym. I felt pretty bad for him. If you’re reading this, bud, I hope you’re feeling better. Honestly, I didn’t take it very seriously at first; I kind of just called him a weenie and moved on, but then I could tell he was in some serious pain. I can be a bit hard on my friends, especially Trevor. It’s always out of love, though.

After the gym, we indulged in our newfound tradition of going to In-N-Out, practically four days out of the week. It’s becoming somewhat intense—some days three patties, some days four; you just never know. We ordered our burgers and devoured them inside. In-N-Out is always a bustling place. It’s extremely bright, with people everywhere and super noisy as orders are called out. But that’s the whole experience of In-N-Out, I suppose. Afterwards, we crawled back into my van to finish watching the UFC fights happening that night. I’m not much of a UFC guy, but they’re always fun to watch.

I’m realizing this blog post has turned into a diary entry of what I did today, which is kind of what I was aiming for, I guess. I just wanted to share how my day went and talk about it.

If you’re reading this and consider me a friend or even an acquaintance, just know, I’m always available to talk, even if we don’t talk anymore. Just know I’m here.
