CALIFORNIA 169
I haven’t written a blog in a few weeks and for good reasons. I felt as if I had nothing to write about. The truth is i’m not capable of much at the current moment. I wrote in Wyoming 166 I was due for an MRI and well here I am a few weeks later sharing those results. I was diagnosed with a partial ACL tear, partial meniscus tear, and a fractured tibia plateau.. A pretty wild discovery after being told it was only a small tear in my meniscus which at this point would’ve been a blessing to just have ONLY that. The simple fact is my winter ski season came to an early conclusion and there was no good reasoning to stay in Jackson and continue to pay rent and not do proper care for my knee. It saddens to have left so quick especially being that living in Jackson and skiing that iconic mountain was planned a year in advanced. I can only control what I do though and how I go forward on this journey. My focus now is to strengthen my knee and if necessary get the required surgery so that next season and the months ahead can be filled with adventure and sick shit.
So being that I am back in California and doing rehab on my knee. Im fortunate enough to have grow up in a place like San Diego to come back to. Its one of those places you cant complain about the sun shines 90% of the year and there is good food everywhere you go so im where I need to be to get back to where I was.
If you haven’t had the chance to visit San Diego and you’ve always wanted to visit southern California this is your sign. FUCK LOS ANGELES. Its overrated and dirty but on top of that its 3x more crowded than San Diego.
If youre reading this also im selling stickers on my shop with only 50 left. Its kind of an ode to what Jackson Hole did to my knee so if you buy one thank you for the support.
