Oh its been a few days since ive written.
Big news though. I decided to stay in Yosemite for the summer and part of the fall. This decision has came after two weeks of deep thought and seeking advice and the opinions of people whos advice and opinions I value highly. Many reasons to stay and very few reasons to not go to Moab, if that makes sense? My job in Moab was expected to be highly physically demanding and I wasnt sure if my body was ready and prepared to go through that and climb on the side. I believe this is the best decision to make for myself and I hope im right. It was always a goal or dream of mine to live in the valley for a summer. Its beautiful here and I have never felt so close to the natural world but still so close to the beauty of civility. Moab will never leave and if im healthy and set to go I can be there in the winter where the weather is cool and the desert lives up to its name of a barren wasteland without all the tourists. I have a set of goals I should accomplish while im here in Yosemite and I plan to fucking accomplish them. I am grateful to my family and the friends I consulted who gave me sound advice and supported my decision. Its a medium size decision not a huge one or a small one but a medium sized one.
Ive been finally learning trad and getting alot more in depth with climbing than what I was doing before. Its more of a mental challenge than anything.
Strengthen the mind so that the mind has the will to strengthen the body.
