I recently stumbled on a quote by the famous french painter Claude Monet you might know his very famous painting of a bridge over a pond of water lilies. He’s famously known for painting scenes of nature as he interprets them.

“Every day I discover more and more beautiful things. It’s enough. to drive one mad. I have such desire to do everything, my head is bursting with it.”

I read the quote and instantly felt a connection with it.

When most people in the states turn 18 years of age it’s a symbol of independence and entrance into adulthood. You can start making choices that you want and thinking the way you want to think (good or bad). Let’s face it before this you are more than likely to be following the things your parents want you to do and the thoughts and choices you make are far more likely to be influenced by peers or teachers. It is the reality of most young adults. It sure was mine. I, unfortunately, succumbed to this age of freedom and when I turned 18 I began making choices and thinking thoughts that at times weren’t so good and many times were with large gaps of inexperience in them. The catch is those choices and thoughts were all mine. I traveled alone, ate alone, and went to some of the world’s most beautiful landmarks alone. In the past seven years, not much has changed. My curiosity has grown and eagerness to discover more and feel more. You see beauty all over and of all the beautiful things the world has whether it’s nature, food, women, men, or conversations. It very well is enough to drive one mad.
