Taking edibles and hitting the sauna is a recipe for disaster I don’t recommend it unless you want to feel as if you’re about to lose consciousness and throw up all over the sauna floor of the EOS gym. Its Saturday and every Saturday looks and feels the same to me. I wake up at 7 AM, head to Whole Foods, and do my usual routine of yogurt and raspberries. I drive across the street to Panera Bread it’s been a safe haven for me on rainy days and mornings when energy is low and the need for caffeine is high. I have my own coffee cup and Panera generously has a self-serving coffee station so don’t mind if I help myself. Back to the climbing gym where my job on Saturdays is to open up the gym and get it ready for some indoor Gumby gym climbers to enjoy themselves on dirty plastic. I occasionally have to dig at indoor climbers but I can’t shit on them too much because I respect the gyms and what they’ve opened up for me and even the opportunities they created for me such as working here. It’s the same folks every morning and I totally respect the routine they keep whether its because they’ve turned it into an irreversible habit or Saturdays at 9 am is the only time they get to climb or do some movement away from their busy lives that can drain the soul out of most people. I sit at the desk until 10 am when my coworker takes over and relieves desk duties. That’s when I feel my day has officially begun. After this Saturday ill have one more of these peaceful opening shifts and the winter season of Las Vegas will be behind me. As of right now we live in the present and we have no right to not enjoy it for this is the youngest you’ll ever be.
