I had to abandon my training program for a short time because of a few inconveniences that life tends to bring. At first, it was a case of minor shin splints that put me behind on running but able to swim and cycle. Shortly afterward, it was a wisdom tooth and complications with the procedure. Afterward I got a dry socket because I didn’t think cycling would dislodge the blood clot, but it did… People say that setbacks show who you are and what you’re made of. I don’t know who those people are that said that, but that’s something I feel would be a “people say”. This is a minor setback my training has fallen a few weeks behind and my fitness will pay a small price. I suspect I’ll be out for the rest of this Thanksgiving week and weekend. Im designing a training plan for my return to training that will accommodate my lack of exercise recently but also allow me to catch up to speed with marginal improvement.
