Almost every morning, six out of seven days of the week i’m at the Panera Bread in Carlsbad, and almost every morning the same group of old white people come in. They’re a large group of over 14 of them and they order their food from what I can overhear it’s usually cookies, a breakfast sandwich, and coffee. I find it quite endearing that a large group of old folk get together every morning, combine 3 tables outside, and sit together. They always look confused ordering as if they havent memorized the whole menu and crack jokes with the manager who they obviouisly have grown a friendly relationship with. I watch them from the inside and cant help think how they all know eachother, for how long, and how did this tradition of coming to the Panera bread every morning for breakfast came to be. Panera bread is great afterall with its self serve coffee and fast wifi. Its also a place for white people no offense its just a staple white people location. I find it pretty cool.
