California 195

I’m laying in the trunk of my car headlamp set on red light and my hatch wide open to see the stars. I have no service and the only thing I hear are birds chirping and the current locals who work for Yosemite village. My load of laundry is about to be finished in 20 minutes things are more than well in Curry village. Jack my new discovered climber friend hooked it up with all the sweet amenities any traveler could want like a kitchen, hot shower, laundry, and free parking. Such an awesome way to kick off the journey before the scorching red desert of Moab. The metamorphic road before this was riddled with injuries and heartbreak and those are the humps that require the most care, patience, and time. It feels like i’m new to all of this a feeling of vulnerability washes over me daily then I come to remind myself that this is what I do and that i’m no stranger to this life. After driving through Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Wyoming, Montana, California, Idaho, Washington, and Nevada I shouldn’t be feeling new to this but then again the feeling of new curiousity and feeling a bit scared is a feeling that can become so addictive. It’s refreshing. I’m grateful to be here and even more grateful to the people who have brought me here.
