Climbing update…. I’m probably going to start writing weekly/monthly climbing updates on some posts.
At this point ,i can flash up to a v5 and currently working on projects of v6-v8. Ive made huge progression in the past 7 months. When I first decided to put time and training into climbing i was struggling really bad on anything v3-v4 and even times v2. When you are training for something I strongly suggest you have certain measurable goals but instead of measuring it by how many pounds you lose but by movements and the amount of weight you use for certain workouts. It's unhealthy to watch a scale or judge by a mirror reflection. My measurable goal is one arm pull up and once I can do that with some ease and no assistance it's evidence that i’ve gotten stronger. In terms of maybe weight loss which I have gone through. Diet comes into factor which is the most important factor in any weight loss journey. The workout is to create a need for your body to consume the food your eating and of course gain muscle and overall be healthier. A good measurable goal for just weight lifting and regular gym goers that I like that are not so emphasized on amount of pounds you can lift but how many reps can you do at a certain weight then come back 2-3 weeks and see if the amount has improved. Speaking on cardio same thing how long can you run or stairmastStairmastertain pace.
My diet is id say 7.1/10 i have a Iuge lack of self control if i’m resting ill tend to fucking stuff my throat with anything that i can find that sugary or savory. This Thursday was a great example. I started the morning breaking my fast for a krispy kreme donut and then a snickers bar when arriving to the work site. Through out the day I had maybe 5 granola bars and for dinner after work i ate some vegan chili and tortillas (just cause its vegan doesn’t mean its healthy) and then i lost full control and decided to drive 7 minutes to safeway just to buy cookies and eat them in the parking lot. Thats my reality.
