Wyoming 166

Its Sunday… Ive worked almost 14 days straight not because I love to work for a measly 19 dollars an hour but because I cant ski or really do anything physical other than working out and doing my physical therapy. I am going climbing in Lander, Wyoming this Wednesday and Thursday its supposed to be a year round climbing area in Wyoming so hopefully itll be nice and sunny and we will be able to tick off some routes. Im not sure how my knee will feel climbing though I doubt itll be as strenuous compared to skiing. Im feeling optimistic I mean thats all I can be, yeah obviously a torn meniscus wasn’t on the agenda but what can I do but let time and proper treatment be the medicine. I am due for my first ever MRI this coming Saturday which will give me and the doctors a better idea of how bad and where the tear is exactly. Ive never had surgery in my life and maybe this might be the first to get my knee at least back to where it was. It is my responsibility at the end of the day to do my workouts and treat my body fair everything else is out of my control.

When anyone chooses to do activities that inherently put their body at risk its bound to happen even to the best. Im sure it doesn’t happen to everyone but for the majority, i’m sure it will. Its the choice we make to ski big mountains and climb rock faces if there was no danger or risk, we wouldn’t do it. Its why we love to do it because knowing that coming out the other side alive or stronger is more rewarding and thrilling than anything else.

Stay safe.
